THE2 Modern Dance Co. presents their debut performance Metamorphosis, produced and choreographed by Artistic Director Rapheal Griffin. The show will also feature choreography by two adult company members, Laura Jane Moser and Megan Kelley.

The choreographic and musical choices made in Metamorphosis explore the idea of experiencing an abrupt change within one’s self. The pandemic and the effect it has had on all of our lives has pushed everyone’s mental health in some capacity. Trying to cope with mental health, loss of loved ones, and stress has everyone searching for an outlet. For us, dance is that outlet. In creating this performance, the goal was to help us process how we have changed from this experience through movement.
THE2 was created with a vision to provide a quality artistic experience for young artists through performances, classes, and workshops. Our goal is to enhance the Toledo arts scene, while upholding dance as an appreciated and positive art form. Our training encourages self-awareness, inspires confidence, and fosters respect for the performing arts. Dance has a way of connecting us all on a deeper level of human existence. THE2 strives to make those connections a priority.
